RISTON & ARNOLD REMEMBERS VE80

Riston Remembers program image

In 1995 Joan Hearsey and Reverend David Perry put together a booklet called "Riston remembers" for VE50. This was to​ collect the wartime memories of those living in the community.

 

30 years on for VE80 Riston Remembers has been revisited in film by children of Riston School and current members of the community with links to that original publication.

The readings will be by members of the community and also chosen children from the school.

There will be songs sung by the whole school and the individual films from each person in the booklet will be available to view (Link available soon)

The film will be shown at Beverley Parkway Cinema, Theatre 6 7pm Friday 2nd May.

Tickets will be purchased from the PTFA.

Funds raised will be for community benefits.
